rules

1. Drama - This is a completely drama-free account. I want to write because writing is what I love doing, and not get dragged into the highschool drama hour. The only exception I'm making to this rule is if it concerns something that could genuinely harm people (i.e. abuse, pr*dators, that kind of stuff).2. Minors, DNI - This one's kind a self-explanatory lol. It's Cyberpunk. A lot of nasty, very unpleasant stuff happens here. Please stay in your corners, for your own safety.

Future starts slow

PACIFICA.Every day in the combat zone that is the abandoned city district is a fight for survival--it's no longer a miracle that she's lived for this long, but experience and a little help from "others."Mercenaries raised her. She'll never know her real parents - that they were corporate; snakes in suits.

WE'RE IN THIS TOGETHER

HEYWOOD.Giving a wave of the hand, and there come the drinks. One for herself, one for the other. Business as usual. Nishimura puts out her cigarette, and thinks.Inside; people dancing, drinking, enjoying, paying. Filling her pockets. Outside; opportunity. The real money.

Personality

Seemingly cold and calculating at first, and she is — this woman is mainly business-oriented, like any other fixer. And while she may act cordial, polite or maybe even tender around those that work for her, it is, in most cases, pretty surface-level. End of the day, it's all about eddies. Whether or not they're useful.Underneath the cold surface, however, there's still that younger self- the one that doesn't shy away from the occasional flash of fury and violent act to make a point. A woman of many faces, not all of them very pleasant. She knows how to put them all to good use. Which string to tug at to get what she needs, like a spider.

Biography

Fixers come from all sorts of places. Nishimura was born right into the "easy life"--her parents high up on the corporate ladder working for QianT, a subsidiary for Kang Tao. It doesn't last very long.Just three or four years after Michi is born, her parents are completely ripped out of the company, assets frozen, and kicked out onto the street. They give in to drinking and drugs pretty quickly and sell off their daughter to some gangoons in Pacifica, to replenish their stash. Her daughter will not remember them. The men that take her in, twins, are also mercenaries. Big, bruised, towering figures that slowly take a liking to their new little compatriot. They're called Bill & Hector--
Hector is a Valentino who's deeply religious. Bill sticks by his brother, is the stronger one of the two. Has a cyberarm. Some would argue they had a worse childhood than her, what with Mom knifing Dad during an argument.
They're not good people. They're both well aware of this. They do their best to raise their little fledgling, teach her how to fight, how to steal, to fend for herself.By the time she's become a merc, taking the occasional street fight for quick and easy cash on the side, they're gone, too. Just another pair of cold bodies on the pavement is all they amount to in the end.Nishi keeps climbing.
Little girl from the gutter.
Climbing and climbing.
Eventually, opportunity beckons.
Nothing like anything else before it.
A way into the big leagues.
"My name is Mr. Hands."

Solstice

A former Valentino bar where gang members met up to drink the night away, set up jobs, or hide out from local law enforcement--Nishimura took complete ownership of the spot after winning a bet against its old manager.Out of respect for the gang, much of the Valentino influences, such as different murals, and more prominently, a shrine for Santa Muerte located in one of the back corners of the bar, secluded from the usual noise. In return, they've offered protection, even if they're a little rough around the edges.Today, it is the fixer's main base of operations.
Here is where under-the-table deals happen and where eager, hot-blooded mercs can receive jobs. It is, of course, still a bar where people just go to drink and enjoy themselves among friends.
